Spar Rules

1) Acceptable spar matches require a proctor who performs all proctor duties (see below), and that  after the match, the combatants submit to examination and/or healing if a healer is available. Only the lack of a healer online is justification for not performing this step.

2) Spar matches can be fought in two ways; as an informal match, using 2d20 for both combatants, or a formal match (the preferred way), which employs the rank dice of the combatants.

3) Duties of Proctors during spars are as follows:

A) Log the Spar.

B) Announce the dice being used, the scores the combatants must achieve for victory and call for inits.

C) Call the score each round, in a format similar to Round (#): Combatant1- (score)  / Combatant2- (score)

D) Find available healers for the after spar examination (required) and healing (if desired). To facilitate examination, the proctor's mun will give the healer's mun a basic rundown of the injuries inflicted.

4) Combatants are granted hit points (HPs) to the value of their dice. Thus it takes a score of 20 points to defeat a Squire or 36 points to defeat a Duke. In an informal match, no matter your dice, you have 20 HPs because you are using 2d20. You may decrease the points necessary for victory in an informal match.
